Bibby is out for 6-8 weeks, but don’t worry about it Sacramento fans because you weren’t making the playoffs anyways. In fact, Bibby being out is a good thing for Kevin Martin. Miller has lost 25 pounds, but he’ll never put up the numbers he used to without Rick Adleman.
Projected starting lineup with last year’s stats:
Stats follow this format – Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, Blocks, FG percentage & Minutes
PG – Mike Bibby
17.1 – 3.2 – 4.7 – 1.07 – 0.07 – 40% - 34 min
SG – Kevin Martin
20.2 – 4.3 – 2.2 – 1.23 – 0.14 – 47% - 35 min
SF – Ron Artest
18.8 – 6.5 – 3.4 – 2.13 – 0.61 – 44% - 37 min
PF – Kenny Thomas
5.3 – 6.1 – 1.2 – 0.69 – 0.26 – 48% - 23 min
C – Brad Miller
9 – 6.4 – 3.6 – 0.60 – 0.62 – 45% - 28 min
Key Bench Players
John Salmons
Quincy Douby
Fransisco Garcia
Shareef Abdur-Rahim
Mikki Moore
Reggie Theus has implemented an uptempo offense, so everyone’s stats should rise by default. This is the year Kevin Martin makes this his team. Outside of Kevin Martin, Ron Artest and Mike Bibby (once he comes back) are the only players worth owning as the others will be sharing time with their bench players. Some like Brad Miller for a bounce back year, but I do not. They drafted Spencer Hawes for a reason, and he’ll be healthy soon.
